Getting Started
Creating an unlock link with Sub2Unlock takes less than a minute. No account needed — just open the generator and start building.
Here’s how to do it step by step.
Step 1: Choose Your Actions
Actions are the social steps visitors will complete before accessing your content. On the Sub2Unlock homepage, you’ll see quick action buttons for popular choices:
- Subscribe on YouTube — Get visitors to your channel
- Like + Subscribe — Combine two YouTube actions
- Follow on Instagram — Grow your Instagram
- Join Discord Server — Build your community
- Join Telegram — Grow your Telegram channel
- Follow on TikTok — Build your TikTok audience
- Follow on X — Grow your X presence
Click any quick action to add it, or use the + Add More Actions button to browse the full action library.
Step 2: Configure Your Actions
For each action you add, enter the relevant URL:
- For YouTube Subscribe: paste your channel URL (e.g.,
https://youtube.com/@yourchannel) - For Discord: paste your invite link (e.g.,
https://discord.gg/yourserver) - For Instagram Follow: paste your profile URL
Each action can be marked as Required or Optional. Required actions must be completed before the content unlocks. Optional actions are shown but don’t block the unlock.
Step 3: Enter Your Destination
The destination is where visitors go after completing the actions. This can be:
- A Google Drive download link
- A Dropbox or MediaFire file
- A website or landing page
- A community signup page
- Any valid URL
Paste your destination URL in the Destination field.
Step 4: Add Details (Optional)
You can optionally add:
- Page Title — A custom name for your unlock page (e.g., “Free Lightroom Presets Pack”)
- Short Message — A brief message visitors see (e.g., “Complete the steps below to download”)
These make the unlock page more personal and help visitors understand what they’re unlocking.
Step 5: Generate Your Link
Click Generate Unlock Link. You’ll immediately receive:
- Your unique Sub2Unlock URL
- A Copy button to grab the link
- A QR Code for sharing in person or on screen
- A Share button for mobile sharing
Step 6: Share Your Link
Now share your unlock link anywhere:
- YouTube video descriptions
- Instagram bio or stories
- Discord announcements
- Telegram messages
- TikTok bio
- X/Twitter posts
- Blog posts or websites
- Email newsletters
Tips for Success
Keep It Simple
Two or three actions perform better than a long list. Visitors are more likely to complete fewer steps.
Match Actions to Your Content
If you’re sharing gaming content, a YouTube subscribe + Discord join makes sense. If you’re sharing photography presets, an Instagram follow might be more relevant.
Test Your Link
Before sharing widely, click your own link and go through the unlock flow. Make sure everything works as expected.
Use Descriptive Titles
A page titled “Free Lightroom Presets Pack” is more compelling than a generic unlock page.
